Composition:
Syrup containing Guaifenesin 100 mg/5 ml
Pharmacologic property:
Guaifenesin produces an expectorant effect by increasing the secretion of thin bronchial mucus components; it depolymerizes acid mucopolysaccharides, reduces adhesiveness and increases motility of bronchial cilia. This facilitates the removal of sputum and changes the non-productive (dry) cough into a productive (wet) one.
Caramel, Glycerin and Corn Syrup produce a soothing effect upon the pharyngeal mucous membrane.
Indication and usage:
Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including acute viral infections, flu, acute laryngitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis.
